PERIGEAN TIDESPerigean tides, commonly called King Tides, are the highest high-tides and lowest low-tides of the year. They happen three to eight times annually when a new or full moon aligns with the moon’s closest point to Earth (perigee) in its oval orbit. These are pinhole photographs taken during a window of perigee.
